Last weekend, our group of hackers set out to look for the star of Bethlehem. That is the name of the open-air museum in the middle of the dazzling town of Hlinsko. One of the houses became a haven for our work on a brand new project, Tableville.

The aim of the event was to develop a functional prototype of a future application and to try out new technologies and tools in 2 days. This was more or less achieved and even the ultimate RoR noobs eventually kept git committing on oiled wheels.
A big thank you especially to Jan Štěrba who assumed the role of the git and RoR mentor.
All in all we tried and used the following:
- Ruby on Rails 3.0.6 – verdict: a very fine vintage indeed
- Campfire – verdict: a vuvuzela as a reward for committing rocks, the integration with Github dictates
- Github – verdict: did you know your projects has a twin with the suffix „wiki“?
- Balsamiq Mockups – verdict: for bigger <> projects
- RubyMine 3.1.1 – verdict: goodbye, TextMate
- jQuery + Chrome – verdict: debug console rulez
- the beer Rycht·¯ 10-15 – verdict: full flavour with the aroma of baked bread and almonds
- toasts with meat mixture in the Hubert restaurant – verdict: ugh
The hacker team was formed namely of:
- Pavel Kovář
- Jan Pytlík
- Jan Fabián
- Honza Štěrba
- Jiří Píša
- Pavel Němec
- Jiří Kratochvíl
- Jarda Holáň
